Cointer, the subsidiary of Grupo Azvi which specializes in the promotion of infrastructure and public services, has been awarded two of the largest and most important lots in the new Parks and Green spaces maintenance contract in Seville.
The new services will come into effect on March 1st in joint venture with Valoriza, for a period of 4 years, plus a possible two year extension.
Both Lots are in the North Sector: Triana, Historic Quarter, North, Macarena, San-Pablo-Santa Justa and Este-Alcosa-Torreblanca districts. Lot 1 includes Trees and Gardening with a budget of 13,251,019.28€ (including VAT), and, Lot 2 is made up of Urban Parks and Neighbourhood Gardens with a budget of 8,974,431.88€ (including VAT).
With this new contract the city has substantially increased the financial budget and the number of jobs for green spaces which means new standards in the quality of service which will be offered in Seville.
The workforce for this service will be increased by almost 200 workers, of which 50% are women and a significant percentage are disabled or from minorities.
On the other hand, the machinery to be used is in many cases 100% electric, and in all cases environmentally friendly. Furthermore, innovative up-to-date solutions have been introduced such as the total elimination of glyphosates in all areas.
This contract reaffirms our commitment to Seville, and with the trust employed in us by the local council and the Parks and Gardens department, we will endeavour to benefit all residents and visitors to the city.
